Online Stores / Entering manual phone orders

Entering manual phone orders Intermediate

When a customer orders by phone, turn the call into a proper store order: look up the customer, add items and options, record extra fees, and confirm totals before saving.

What you'll learn

  • A safe step-by-step flow
  • Checking totals

Before you start

1. Steps

  1. Write down the call: customer name or email, items, options (size, color), extra fees, shipping.
  2. Ask the bot:
Look up customer [email protected] and start a manual order with these items and options. Add a $10 rush fee as a custom line. Don't save until I confirm the total.
  3. The bot finds the customer, adds products and options, and adds custom lines for things like add-on fees or replacements.
  4. Read back the totals, then approve saving.

2. Payment

Take card details yourself, through your platform's secure payment screen. Never put card numbers in chat.

3. Save it as a skill

Platforms differ; once it works on yours, save the steps (Skills).
