Step 1: Where to download Grok Bot Beginner
Before you can hand work to a bot, you need the Grok Bot app. This first step shows you where the official downloads live, which version fits your computer or phone, and what kind of account you need. Grok Bot is made by Cursor, and the safest habit you can build on day one is to download it only from official sources.
What you'll learn
- Where the official desktop downloads are
- Which download matches your computer
- Where to get the phone apps
- What account and plan Grok Bot needs
1. Use the official download page
The desktop app is published on Cursor's download page: cursor.com/download/bot. It lists builds for macOS, Windows and Linux. If you already use the Cursor dashboard, its Grok Bot page also has a download row; if your company manages your account, your admin may give you a link instead.
2. Pick the right build for your computer
- Mac: choose Apple Silicon or Intel. Not sure? Open the Apple menu, then About This Mac. A "Chip" line means Apple silicon; a "Processor" line means Intel.
- Windows: choose x64 or ARM64. You can check under Settings, System, About, "System type".
- Linux: choose x64 or ARM64 in your distribution's format:
.debfor Debian and Ubuntu,.rpmfor Fedora and RHEL, or an AppImage for others. Rununame -min a terminal:x86_64means x64 andaarch64means ARM64.
3. Phone apps
Grok Bot also has an iPhone app (iOS 18 or later) on the App Store and an Android app on Google Play. The phone apps connect to the same bots and conversations as the desktop app, so you can message your bots and approve actions on the go. A few things, such as updating the bot's computer, stay on desktop.
4. Check your account
According to Cursor's documentation, Grok Bot access comes with paid individual Cursor plans and the Cursor Teams plan, through a linked SuperGrok subscription, or with a seat on a self-serve Grok Business plan. You sign in with a Cursor account. BotDemoLab doesn't sell anything and can't tell you which plan to buy; see the official Get started guide for the current details.

Tips
- Bookmark the official download page instead of searching for it each time, so you never land on a lookalike site.
- If a site other than Cursor, the App Store or Google Play offers a "Grok Bot installer", don't use it.
- The app checks for updates on its own, so you only need to download it once.
Facts about the app on this page come from Cursor's official Grok Bot documentation. Menus can change between versions; if something looks different, check the official docs.
