Price monitoring Advanced
Track your own and competitors' prices over time, keep the history in a sheet, and get alerts on changes, while respecting each site's terms.
What you'll learn
- Setting up a price sheet
- Checking on a schedule
- Staying within the rules
Before you start
- The Grok Bot app, installed and signed in. New? See where to download it and installing and signing in.
- Google Sheets connected.
1. Make a sheet
Columns: Product, URL, Date, Price. One row per check.
2. Steps
- List the product pages to watch.
- Ask:
Once a day, check these pages, add today's price to my 'Prices' sheet, and tell me if any price changed by more than 5%.
- Check the first results by hand.
3. Respect the rules
- Read each site's terms; some forbid automated checking.
- Prefer official APIs where offered (for example eBay Browse API).
- Check rarely, like once a day.
4. Act thoughtfully
Use alerts to decide, not auto-change your prices.
Ideas to try

Tips

- Prices may vary by region or login.
- Don't overload sites.
